Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: My husband was driving home, heard a loud pop and the transmission failed - would not go in reverse, made a loud noise even in neutral and park. after tearing down the transmission, found that the reaction sunshell had gone bad. i found that several different mechanics/dealerships have repaired this problem in an unusually high volume. updated part issued but no recall. truck has just over 60000 miles - just out of warranty. have to make payment of $1600 to have fixed. getting the runaround from gm. purchased the truck used just 10 months ago from a certified gm used car dealer. why if a know problem, wasn't it fixed before being sold? *nm
