Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I purchased the 2000 chevrolet monte carlo new. after about 18 months the steering column had a rattling or clunking noise. i took it back to the dealer and he immediately knew what the problem was and replaced the "intermediate steering shaft" . that solved the problem. now at 45,000 miles the same problem is occuring again and the vehicle is out of warrantee. is this not a defect in the manufacturing of the vehicle? it is rarely driven except on trips. other people apparently experience the same problems. *ak
