Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: 1994 mercury grand marquis: during a drive at night, the headlights began to filicker at first (along with interior panel lights); this was only intermittent, and could be solved with precise placement of the pull switch. within 10 days, the filckering was uncontrollable and no longer intermittant. i opened up the dash-board to potentially remove the switch for replacement. once i had access, i turned on the lights and began to maneuver the wiring to 4658078 attempt to duplicate the problem and stop the problem in order to check for a loose connection. as i was reachig around the wiring, i felt a very hot wire; upon inspection, i discovered that the wire in question was burned up to 1/4 " past the connector (exposing all of the wire fibers) and the connector itself at that point was charred, warped, and blistered. i haven't repaired it at this time.*ak
