Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 1991 dodge dynasty, 3.3l engine. fuel rail leaking, at crossover tube connection. fuel leaking down onto vavle cover, which then leaked onto hot exhaust manifold. minor fire, but thank god i was in my driveway when i smelled the fuel. opening the hood revealed the small fire that started. the dodge dealer wants 300.00 for the part, and i feel chrysler should pay for this part since it is not a "wear" item, nor is it a moving part, or in a location prone to wear. had my wife or myself been driving and the fire occured, this could have been a very dangerous situation, and i would have considered a law suit. any help you can provide me would be great. if you can provide a complaint number to call for chrysler, i will do so. i feel they should at least pay for the part. vehicle is currently parked, as i cannot locate a used replacement. this is creating a major headache, as we need 2 vehicles, and cannot afford to replace the dynasty at this time, nor can we afford (or justify) 300+ for the repair. thank you. *ak |
