Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: After being in service for less than 4,000 miles, my emc, aevit, digipad-ii console failed to shift my van first to drive for an extended period of time, and then failed to shift out of reverse. i was trapped in my van, in my garage for over 2 hours because the digipad will not allow you to shutdown the engine unless the vehicle is in park; and the digipad/wheelchair lockdown (cci) would not release my wheelchair while the engine was running. the technician who finally arrived to help said that the failure occurred because i did not have brake lights; and that i did not have brake lights because a wire was being ?pinched? by a servo motor. the vehicle, servo motor, and wire are available. *jb
