Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I have a 2003 grand prix and the other day on the 15th of feb, i went to open my back passenger door and the hinge and spring fell to the ground. i contacted pontiac and they just told me contact the dealer. i did, and i had to buy the whole part. my question is why would a part of the car that is designed and expectant to last the lifetime of car, so why did the rivet end of the detent break? actually it was the rivet that broke but not the arm or the spring. this wasn't due to any type of accident, just open the back door and the parts fell to the ground. i feel that i shouldn't have had to pay for this because the defect. i think i should have the dealer or pontiac fix this and reimburse me for this expense. *jb
