Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Clutch premature wear problem with honda rebel 2004 motorcycle!.have a 2004 rebel with 1600 miles. i did the oil change at 600 miles and running once or twice in the whole winter, around 10 miles or less to recharge the battery. *ak today, i took my rebel out for a ride since it's 70 degree plus, but i notice the problem right away. when i shift into 1st gear, take my hand off the clutch without turn up the throttle, the rebel still running. something isn't right, before when i shifted into first gear, did not crank up the throttle and release, the engine will shut off immediately. however when i shift to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, the rebel is running very slow, the engine noise is louder and it cannot run over 30 mph, looks like the clutch is getting loose or something. i try to adjust the clutch but the problem still existed. |
