Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While backing car out of garage there was a loud pop noise and the car stopped moving. the failure was the coil spring had come loose from its mounting due to corrosion and had ripped a 2 inch hole in the tire sidewall causing rapid loss of pressure and a flat tire. had i been traveling on a hiway i would have swerved directly into oncoming traffic. currently i have the car at a ford dealer and am awaiting parts for repair. sounds like the same problem as has been noted in ford tarus and mercury sables.*ak |
