Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Transmission failure - 1999 accord ex in mint condition, perfect maintenance records and the transmission begins to fail ,out of the blue, at 71,000 miles. the car shifts and lurches in 1st, 2nd and third gear. also, noticable loss of overall power or torque in the cars performance. this is my third accord and first automatic. honda will only pay for part of the repair. i hope by writing this i help others with the same problem. i am being forced to negotiate the repair cost with the local honda dealership. i am asking free parts, free labor and free rental car. they came back with a reduced cost of $1200 dollars and no mention of the rental car. i am really disappointed in honda, i am a loyal customer and promoter of the brand name. i expect restution if they finally recall this position. *ak |
