Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I have a 2002 chrysler town and country that has an air bag warning light that illuminates intermittently. upon researching this issue i learned that there had been a recall on several of these vehicles in 2002 to address an issue with a clockspring. this issue causes integral safety features, such as the horn and air bag, to fail on occasion. i first contacted my local dealer who informed me that my vin did not come up as being eligible for the recall. i contacted chrysler directly and got the same answer. the issue may not come up on a vin search, but it certainly does impact my vehicle. i have tried to obtain authorization to have the clockspring replaced at chrysler's expense, to no avail. as this is a potential safety hazard, i would like to see the matter investigated.*ak
