| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My case is exactly similar to customer complaint odi # 10100963 as well as the recall of the 2001 escapes (recall #00v223001). my steering column started to loosen shortly after the warranty expired. the dealer (new brighton ford) fixed it once saying that it was possibly a defect in the column itself and if it loosened again that they would recommended having the steering column replaced. the dealer has now agreed to replace it but at half the cost. this seems too coincidental to be a random issue, especially given the past recall of the same problem. i don't want to pay and have it eventually be covered under a recall. thanks terry olson. *jb |
