| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: "cosco summit" child car seat. 22-260-bsc. dh4c d18608 , manufacture date: 11/10/04 3/27/05 crotch strap of the harness pulled out of the car seat while unbuckling the child from the seat. while refitting the strap it was observed that this strap relies on the retaining plate to remain in the horizontal position and flat against the underside of the seat. however there is no clip or other mechanism to maintain this orientation. if the harness is not fully tensioned or when the harness is unbuckled enough free play may develop in the crotch strap to permit the retaining plate to drop far enough away from the seat bottom allowing the plate orientate itself in the vertical position. in this position the strap can be easily pulled out of the seat. |
