Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The transmission in my 2000 pontiac grand prix started shifting funny then it would shift fine after shutting it off and restarting after this happening a few times i took it to a trans shop and they informed me that this a common problem on gm cars and that the repair would be $600-$700 the car only has 60,000 miles.after talking to a person from gm he admited that they had a bad supplier of parts from 1998-2000 and that if it was under warranty they would have fixed it for free.well its not under warranty and im stuck with a $600+ bill to fix a problem they where aware of.the guy at the trans shop says he sees about 3-4 of these a week.also if you do any searches and reading on the 4t65e trans you will find alot of people complaining of the same thing.to fix this trans they pull it almost apart and put new pressure solenoids in it.*ak
