Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I have a 1999 chevrolet c/k 2500 5 speed pickup, and the antilock braking system is failing to opert. properly. i have replaced all of the front and rear pads, and shoes. along with rear drums, front rotors and all of the lines. and i have a problem that gm will not help me repair the defect on vehicle, and that no recall is out for this vehicle.*ak the problem is when i try to stop in any condition dry or wet roads, low or high speeds the abs braking system fails by making a loud growlling song, and locks the brakes on one side of the vehicle. i have taken it to several dealers and priv. shops and they are unable to repair the problem. and have know information on what is causing the brakes to lock. this is the second time to replace the parts within five months. and somethink needs to be done. my father-in-law also has the same year of work truck and is having the same problem. the problem has not caused and crash due to driver safty but needs to be looked at. for if an inexperienced driver may lead to failure with possible injury.
