Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Smelled smoke after ignition. found electrical fire after opening up the hood at a service station. the attendant quickly extinguished the fire. towed the car to premier ford. our insurance adjuster from tsc direct inspected my vehicle. his report was that there oil dripping from a defective master cylinder that caused the wiring to heat up. thus, causing the fire. we think that ford should be responsible because this is a safety issue that could warrant a recall. however, they deny the claim because we are over the 3-year warranty. this should not make a difference. this is a dangerous situation. therefore, we should be reimbursed for the full cost of the job, labor and towing expenses.*ak |
