| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Vehicle: 2001 audi 1.8 liter tt quattro roadster: event: loss of control and failed power steering pump. during a slow speed exit from a public parking lot car became uncontrollable as i entered a public road. the vehicle proceeded straight as i was unable to turn the steering wheel . the car crossed the center line of a public street and almost hit an oncoming vehicle head on. the other driver was able to swerve and evade my uncontrollable vehicle or else there would have been a head-on collision. failure: power steering pump, and the vehicle would not turn left nor right at low speeds. correction: the car was delivered to the local audi dealership lujack's, davenport, iowa who investigated and determined that the power steering pump had totally failed during routine usage. the car was no longer under warranty, and repeated telephonic communications between audi of north america, lujack's and myself yielded no relief, no compensation, and no satisfaction. this could have been a life or death situation, and in other circumstances, may well have lead to the deaths of several innocent persons. the car was totally out of control. *ak |
