Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was returning from w. palm beach in my 2002 winnebago, when the right rear quarter panel with tail lights fell off somewhere in ohio. i discovered this only when i got back to my office at orrville, ohio. my winnebago has less than 10000 mile on it. i checked with the winnebago company and they knew of no recall, nor would they warrant the repairs since their warranty is for one year regardless of mileage. i thought this was unfair. my inspection revealed that only 2 small bolts held the unit together. i feel that this part was not properly designed and that is poses a safety hazard to any vehicles that would follow me or possibly a pedestrian nearby. i have pictures of the defective parts if needed. my shop employees are going to replace the piece. cosat of parts are about $ 600.00 plus labor( est. $ 500.00).*ak |
