Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Bank of america activated my savings account without my knowledge. they transferred $166.00 from my savings account to an account that was sent to collections over a year ago. the charged off accounts balanced is being currently paid off. b of a states " we took money from your savings to put toward the charged off account(that's has been sent to a collection company ltd). if an account has been charged off and sold to a collection agency, does the pass owner have the right to enter my account to collect funds? i've been paying on the account since it was sent to collections. b of a said that they had the right to do this and that this information was in a disclosure letter they gave me back in 1998 when i opened up the account. the print is small that you can't read it. i was greeted by rude customer serviced agents when i tried discussing this account with them. one states" maybe you should get you act together". another one said this should have been paid off a long time ago. these people don't know my life or my struggles. b of a should have informed me ahead of time. i thought some one had stolen money from me when this happened. their customer service agents should be re-trained. they are rude, cocky and should not be serving the public.*ak
