| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While making an uphill left turn at approximately 10 to 15 mph, the steering wheel failed to turn and went over a sidewalk. the driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle and pull over and turn off the vehicle. the driver took the vehicle to an authorized gm dealer (no local oldsmobile dealer in area). the mechanic informed the driver that the steering gear was defective and was replaced. please provide additional information. *nm while making a left turn, driver could not apply enough pressure to turn steering wheel. driver could not maintain control of vehicle. female driver had adult male take vehicle to dealer where power steering rack was found to be defective and replaced and front end aligned. *tt *nm |
