Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt: standard braking was fine but when the consumer needed the abs it did not work. in normal braking the wheels started to lock up and it released but it never reengaged. the abs trouble light as well as a information center on his dashboard illuminated indicating a problem with the abs. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined there was a problem with the front abs sensor. the dealer didn't have the part to repair the problem. gm is pending the outcome of the investigation. gm indicated the faulty abs would not have caused an accident at this time. *nm
