Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Repeated false neutrals when shifting transmission. also occuring less frequently, dropping out of gear when pressure is relieved from drivetrain. the false neutrals occur between the 2-3 gear shift. when they occur there is no indication of being in a neutral selector position (ie: neutral light). i must upshift the transmission again. no accidents have occured, but i have had a couple of close calls. this has been reported previously to nhtsa. the total number of shift failures, over my ownership is 50+ (oct 2001). the number indicated on this form is just for 05-29-05.
