Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I had my chev. suburban 1500, yr. 2001 in for the 60,000 mi. service and a new fuel filter was replaced according to the needs. i had problems right away with fuel being below 1/4 tank. it was stalling out. no low on fuel light came on, but the service engine soon light did. that was at 1/8 of a tank. it felt like i was going to run out of gas. i reported it immediately to the oil can henrey's were the service was preformed. they manager gave me a fuel additive. didn't work. if i got to 1/4 tank it would do the same thing. it was recommended to me that i have a diagnostic check at the dealer. they replaced the filter and siad it was a defect. the problem is still present, it has been 7 months, 2 fuel filters, 2 sensors, and i still have a problem. i have to take it back again, and i took in the recall sheet that is still under investigation on my make and model. and also the last time i was not able to fill my whole tank. it would only take about 18 gal. and shut off. all the symptoms are what is discribed in your investigation. please contact me. |
