| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The power steering pump failed while driving in the mountains. fortunately not while on the curvy, side of the mountain roads. the vehicle required towing down the mountain to the nearest gmc dealer. the dealer replaced the pump and charged $200. much inconveience was incurred, we had to be retrived from the mountains(65 miles), taken to the dealer by others to retrive vehicle, etc. there's a recall(id 05v005000) of 98,221 of this exact model and year for the exact same failure. gmc claims my vehicle is not covered by this recall and will not reimburse me the $200, which does not include the shuttle cost from the mountains to home and other incidentals. |
