| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Abs ebcm shorted causing abs failure, abs dummy light to come on, and abs pump to run incessantly. had to pull fuse on abs to prevent abs pump wear/failure, which caused brake dummy light to come on - could not tell at the time if this was due to removed fuse or actual brake problem. dealer cost to replace is $1100 although this is obviously a common problem with this unit (on many vehicles) - am having part repaired by 3rd party instead for $150 - hopefully will not cause other brake problems. |
