Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Cross bar on the vs1400 '' s83'' is hitting the ground and kicking the bike back tire up and that i not pleased with this bike. i have only had this bike for a month and the cross bar has hit the ground 4 times and the 4th time involved me in sliding the bike across the street in a curve. this has also happened to another person while riding this bike. i ride every day 5 to 7 days a week rain or shine cold or hot. i am always on a bike. i do not wish to dye yet on this one\ from a cross over bar that needs to be moved. this bike is unsafe in it current condition. this problem has never happened on any other bike i have owned or ridden. this letter is to allow you to correct the problem not at my risk of it happening a 5th time. either by placing the foot pegs in-front of the engine like on most ever other bike giving me a different bike altogether or refunding the money to get ride of the loan on the bike. i am unwilling to continue to drive this bike year round in it current condition. this problem was previously reported when i picked up my saddlebags some were around 05/13/2005 and on 05/31/2005 to jessie after i had the slide out ''crash'' and he talked to the manager or the owner and then told me that i sure bring it in and he would adjust it. there is nothing to adjust the cross bar needs to be pulled out from under the frame and placed in-front of the frame like on a harley or like on any other bikes line. it is currently at the cycle country shop taken there on 06/03/2005 being repaired from the slide out it did. the only reason i am not seriously hurt because of wearing the riding gear at the time. if a car had come around the corner at the time of the slide i would not be here and this would not be an issue. but a car did not and i am here still to tell you that the cross bar should not hit the road on a 30 to 35 mph corner which was on a 55 mph road. please respond asap as for this is my primary means of transportation. more if wanted
