| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The air conditioning compressor in my 2001 chrysler town & country minivan has failed. while driving the vehicle the compressor failed. smoke was coming out from under the hood. i pulled the vehicle over and opened the hood. the compressor was smoking. i immediately shut down the a/c on the vehicle controls in the cabin. i am certain that if i hadn't powered down the compressor it would have caught on fire. there is a technical service bulletin on this particular problem. |
