Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt: child booster seat manufactured by graco, model no. 8491rgb, the consumers child was involved in an accident, the vehicle contained two booster seats of the same make, model, and build date, the right side arm rest of both child booster seats came off upon the vehicles impact. the consumer stated that it appears that the safety lock to keep the adjuster in place had broken off, both seats were located in the rear of the vehicle. the vehicle is a 1994 ford taurus, upon impact the vehicle caused passengers to lean toward the right, one booster seat was located on the rear drivers side of the vehicle, the right arm rest broke off causing the child to lean over onto the spot were the booster seat broke off, this breakage caused the child to obtain a hair line fracture to his hip, the second booster seat also had a breakage occur of the right side arm rest, the location of this booster seat was the rear passenger side of the vehicle, the second child sustained severe bruises, the consumer believes that the reason the second child did not obtain a more severe condition was because she was seated beside the rear passenger side door, which cushioned the impacted, both booster seats were secured by both lap and shoulder seat belts of the vehicle. the third injury was to the consumer because of the air bag deploying which caused a gash above the consumers eyelid, a burn look to her chin and a broken wrist, the vehicle did spark and try to catch fire, another person used a fire extinguisher to put out the sparks, the vehicle accident was reported to the police. *jb
