| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The car would not start. after several attempts the security light came on indicating a problem with the passlock system. i kept trying and the car finally started. i brought the car to a mechanic who told me the ignition switch needed to be replaced. i was told this was a very common problem with gms and gm knows about it. the switch was $185.00 and with labor the bill came to $350.00. the oldsmobile dealer said this was such a common problem with these cars that they keep many switches in stock. |
