Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: As i pulled into my garage, i noticed the battery warning light and brake light were on on the instrument panel of my 2003 nissan murano. because i have read on nissanmurano.org that is an indication of a failing alternator and that after seeing the warning lights my murano would soon become totally disabled, i called the dealer to have the vehicle towed in for a new alternator. although in my case i was in my garage, the alternator is a known isssue on muranos, and if the vehicle stops on the highway, that would be extremely dangerous. some muranos have been known to have a failure of the replacement alternator, so i don't feel that this issue has been resolved yet, and i fear i may still be at risk. |
