Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Failure of the rear axle seal/bearings - grease leaking onto the rear brakes (safety hazard) this is the 4th failure on this vehicle - 1) repaired under warranty 2) repaired at cost of $250.71 @ 65,891 miles 3) repaired under 3 way split $200.00 my part @ 78,203 miles 4)failed at 103,473 miles estimated cost of repair $202.58 (not by dealer) told by mechanic at dealer that the falt is in the casting of housing and jeep knows this and will continue to fail. called jeep ( daimlerchrysler) customer assistance and was held on phone for 20 min then was told jeep could do nothing about this other than recommend a different dealer. |
