Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt: contact's vehicle was in an accident on june 17, 2005, due to brakes not working. while driving in rush hour traffic, using the brakes on and off, the abs light came on and the brake light was illuminated. consumer tried pulling the parking brake, in case she hit it accidentally. when consumer applied the brakes she could not stop because the brakes were not working. mechanic stated they could not find anything wrong with the brakes. the car was towed to another local service station, and the mechanic said that sometimes the abs malfunctioned, causing the brakes to not work. the service dealer stated the abs sensor was out and needed to be replaced. the contact has disconnected her abs, and had not had any problems since then.*ak
