| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My wife was driving through town with our daughter and her parents and as she was coming out of town started to press on the accelerator to get up to speed. all of a sudden the accelerator pedal went to the floor and the throttle was wide open and the pedal was hanging there and was inoperable. fortunately she wasn't going very fast and was able to put the vehicle in neutral and use the brakes to slow down enough to get off the side of the road and get the vehicle stopped and then her father was able to get under the hood and get the engine to stop revving. the vehicle was towed to the dealership where it was purchased and the accelerator cable was replaced because it had broken. the old part may still be available at the dealership, but i'm not sure. |
