Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Fuel pressure regulator failure in my 2000 buick lesabre vin: [xxx]vehicle exhibits hard starts and occasionally stalls while decelerating. strong fuel odor on startup. fuel leaking from vacuum line at fuel rail. per gm recall bulletin 03054b, dated june 2004, this vehicle is subject to recall for this defect. bulletin states if the vehicle has a delphi manufactured part it is to be replaced with a bosch manufactured part (fuel pressure regulator) at no cost. vehicle has delphi manufactured part label on fuel rail. dealer indicated this particular vin is not covered under said recall. buick customer service confirmed this stating this vehicle was "not in our viss system," and " we cannot authorize the repair under this recall." failure was corrected by owner. part purchased and replaced by owner. dealer: usem chevrolet of austin mn buick customer service employees: fransis and alicia buick customer service call reference #: [xxx]. *nm updated 07/19/2012 *js information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6) |
