Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: During the recent high temperature weather we had last week, the molding of the rear hatch separated from the window. the hinge that secures the glass to the hatch tore from the molding which is part of the glass. with this tear in the window molding, the window could separate from the vehicle while it's in motion. i would guess that the trim/seal which the hinge is part of becomes too soft during extreme heat, and makes it soft enough to tear when the window is opened and closed. vin: [xxx] gm claims that this is considered "normal wear and tear". *nm updated 07/19/2012 *js information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6) |
