| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: contact stated parking brake never worked since he bought the truck. he had it repaired at ewing buick gmc in 2004. truck has an automatic transmission and there was a recall on the parking brake in the manual transmissions. no recall number was available. he felt that the repair work should be done on the parking brake of under the recall although this truck did have an automatic transmission, the parking brake in his automatic transmission never worked from the time he bought the vehicle new in 2000. he has spoken to gmc. they could not give him a reason as to why it was not covered under the recall. the dealer told the consumer that this was a common problem in both the automatic and manual transmissions. *ak |
