| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 2000 chevrolet corvette with a 6-speed manual transmission that was recalled for a steering column lock problem. ever since the recall service was performed the steering column lock engages, rendering my car inoperable and me stranded in unsafe places. this has occurred 5 times. one of the times, i was stranded out of town, at night, and in a thunderstorm. it took over 5 hours to get a tow truck to my location. my vehicle is at the dealership from which it was purchased with an extended warranty. i e-mailed jim schell at gm, and a gm representative has been assigned, but my car is not repaired after two weeks. i need assistance in getting my car repaired or compensated for my loss of a dependable vehicle. *nm |
