Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I have witnessed several incidents of infants and children who have become hysterical with terror, with screaming and crying, when they are strapped into a car seat. infants and children placed in a car seat with the high chair design, with the bar coming over the child's or infant's head similar to a high chair, do not appear to become upset. i was wondering if the mental health of infants and children a primary concern regarding the car safety seats. i also would like to know if any psychological or psychiatric association are aware of this situation. the mothers i have approached appear to be unaware there is a psychological problem with the car safety seats, even though their baby or child is obviously protesting getting strapped into place. i would like to know whether or not any university research has been conducted on this subject. and, if so, i would like to receive information about their study, including statistics. *jb
