Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own a ford excursion with a 6.8 v10 motor. while traveling on an interstate at posted speed one or more (waiting to here from repair shop) spark plugs were blown from the cylinder head without warning and could have caused a very serious accident. fortunately at the time i was able to pull over to the side of the road safely just avoiding a fast over taking transport truck. from what research i have done on the internet this is an all too common problem with the ford v10's and some v8's. i am now looking at a minimum of a replacement head and it might require a replacement motor. this is a safety issue and could have ended in an accident or fire. *jb |
