Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was having trouble with the car stalling and upon taking my 2002 volvo s 60 to the dealer (bozzanni volvo in covina, ca. they handled that problem by cleaning the throttle body assembly for a cost of about $500.00. about two months later the same problem occurred and this time they replaced the entire throttle body assembly for a cost of about $800.00. when i questioned the dealer about the problem, he told me that it was no longer under warranty and that the repair charge and repair itself was necessary and that there was nothing else they could do. the car had about 55,000 miles on the odometer and i felt that they did not do the job properly in the first place and that the repair work should have been completed under warranty. i have been keeping up with the current investigations on volvo and their throttle body assembly failures. while my car is an early 2002 mild pressure turbo, i feel that current investigation should encompass other years because the problems is quite similar. this occurred early on in 2005 and i have the old parts and the dealer paperwork on the repair. *jb |
