Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Gas tank was overfilled while traveling out-of-town. this resulted in having to tow the vehicle to a dealer and having the gas tank dropped, and replacing the evaporation canister assembly. the cost to me was $284 because it was a 'self-induced' problem. the manuals say nothing about overfilling causing part damage that the customer is liable for. repairs took five days due to the service dealer lacking the proper diagnostic equipment and adapters for the sportage. currently working with kia of america to try to get reimbursed for the expense. *jb |
