| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own an auto repair shop and have seen the recall # 05v161000 regarding the parking brake defect with gmc and chevrolet pickups. the same problem also exists on the suvs of the same basic design, 2000 and newer tahoes, suburban, escalade, etc. every one of these i see in my shop with over 35,000 miles has a worn parking brake, usually ruining the rotors when they scrape metal to metal. i always hesitate to park near one of the vehicles in a hilly area, since i know the parking brake is usually non-existent. *nm |
