| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: 2001 gmc serria. there was a recall in canada, but there was no recall in the states on the anti lock brakes. when traveling at slow speed and applying the brakes the anti lock brakes take over, resulting in extended stopping distance. this did not happen every time, may be one out of every five stops, but it seemed to be get worse. called the manufacturer, and they said the recall was not for this truck but only for the ones produced in canada. this appeared to be something that was caused from the road salt which corroded the anti lock brake system. this started happening just a few months ago, and happened at least 50 times. *ak |
