Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The airbag warning light goes on and off while driving van, sometimes it stays on for a long time or other times its only on for a short time and then goes off. each time it goes on you hear a warning chime. my search of the internet for this type of problem shows a recall on the 1998-2000 vans for a clockspring repair. i have also read that when the light is on, the airbags will not deploy. i have not confirmed this through a dealer. this sort of problem is a tough one to deal with as a comsumer because unless the light comes on and stays on, its hard for the dealer to find the problem. it would be interesting to know how many other consumers have this same problem and if these vehicles should come under a recall like the prior years. |
