Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: the consumer was traveling to north carolina at 70 mph on 8-8-05, and he was in the passing lane when the car cut off, and there were trucks practically on top of consumer's vehicle. there was no warning. he could not steer. he had to go over 3 lanes of traffic to get out of the way. the consumer had the vehicle towed to a garage. they replaced a 20 amp fuse going to the electronic control module (ecm) he picked it up. he drove another 400 miles. on 8-17-05 the car quit again on the highway. had it towed to a chevrolet dealer in north carolina, and they determined that it was the electric fuel pump in the fuel tank. he received a pending recall 05v155000 notice about 3 weeks ago pertaining to the fuel pump. he had the car serviced before going to north carolina, and they did not diagnose any problems with the car. *ak *jb |
