Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own a 2002 chevy silverado 1 ton dual wheel pick up - extended cab. for the last 8 months i have been having problems with the anti lock brakes pulsating at low speeds (under 10 mph when i am trying to stop. i was previously injured in an automobile accident and have over 12 disks in my neck, mid and lower back, i am classified as totally and permanently disabled. this truck is my only means of transportation to and from doctor appts and medical treatment, i have contacted my dealership about the problem and was advised that only vehicles in canada were being recalled for this problem, if i wanted it fixed it would cost approx. $350.00. i now live on ssi disability and only receive $841.00 per month, i cannot afford to have this vehicle fixed and the problem is getting worse every day. it has happened well over 1000 times and pretty much does it now ever time i push the brake pedal. what am i supposed to do??? do i just wait until i lose control of my vehicle while braking and hit someone causing more damage to myself and possible another innocent person or are you going to force gm to fix this disaster? please advise me of my options and what i so do or whom i should contact - i need my truck fixed! *jb |
