Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: the contact owns a 2004 chevrolet colorado. the contact states that gm specifies a front end alignment can go on a camber from 0.5 negative to .5 positive. he took the vehicle to a dealership one side was .2 negative the other side .3 negative. the tires on the vehicle where to a point where this could blow out a tire. the dealership was telling him that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. the problem began a few weeks ago. gm refused to replace tire under warranty. he took the vehicle to a goodyear service center, and the technician put the vehicle on alignment machine and they set up all the diagonals. the technician told him it should not have damaged his tires, but he had a load on his vehicle. the load and the vehicle resulting in poor handling of the vehicle. they kept telling him that this occurred because of lack of tire rotation. the contact maintained this had nothing to do with problem. damage just occurred to the two front tires on the vehicle. he said that there was poor front end specification with a load on the vehicle. he was a certified mechanic.*ak |
