| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: 1999 chevrolet silverado pickup - the brakes are not working at slow speeds. consumer called general motors and the dealership, and there was recall, # 05068. the dealer said that this was not a safety problem, and the manufacturer claimed there was no recall on this vehicle due to vin. while coming to a stop between three and zero mph the brake pedal was hard to press down and there were no brakes. vehicle hit the retaining wall at consumer's residence, and did damage to both vehicle and to the wall. this did not happen every time that consumer drove the vehicle. the problem started in the middle of august 2005. *ak |
