Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: dt: the consumer owns a 2002 mitsubishi montero. there was a recall regarding the hydraulic brake booster accumulator for this year, make, and model vehicle, but the consumer's vehicle did not fall under this recall campaign. the consumer states while applying the brakes, there was an abnormal sound from the dash and brake pedal. upon starting the vehicle, there was a delay in the braking capability. a certified mechanic stated it was the hydraulic brake booster accumulator that was causing the problem. the consumer has contacted the manufacturer. they informed the consumer that there was no recall for this specific component on his vehicle. *jb
