| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: On august 15,2005 my husband drove to portland to attend our grandsons birthday party. he stopped to pick up our son and his family to take to our daughters. leaving their house he pulled out onto the road at approximately 5 miles per hour and the rear window exploded outward as if blown out from the inside. he recalls that there were no pedestrians or hearing any thing hit the window. the dealer and gm has refused to pursue this so we replaced the window. the professional who replaced our window said that it appeared to blow out from the inside. he also stated that he has seen windows while replacing them shatter from little pressure. we stressed to our dealer and gm our concern that this could be a major safety issue. luckily our children and grandchildren sitting in the back were not hurt.*jb |
