| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: the vehicle is a 1994 chevrolet blazer. the manufacturer's recalls 99041 and 99046 concerning brake failure were issued. when the consumer contacted the manufacturer they told him that this vehicle's vin was covered under the recalls. however, when they put in the vin no recalls were shown, but they agreed that they fell within the recall specification. they were not doing the recall work. someone told him that it might be because vehicle was too old to be fixed. also nhtsa recall 97v096000 for the seat belts was issued. the consumer's vehicle was experiencing the same problems as stated in the recall. the issue with the brakes started on 8-15-05. previously the brakes had to be replaced. there have been no accidents as of yet. *ak |
